Over the last 2 years I've been working on an album that will be released on the 15th of october 2010. ?I wanna use this blog to tell you more about it and drop little stories on how the album got together. Let me first give you a bit of background-info ...

In the early 2000s I already produced a bunch of tracks for my band Cavemen Speak and I always had a passion for the production-process in general. I got distracted from it though ... We went on building Gunporn, The World After 4/02, Nuccini and Zucchini Drive, where I (mainly together with my good friends Marcus Graap, Nomad and Bleubird) focused on doing vocals. Next to organizing shows, tours, promoting albums and doing graphics, it felt I had enough on my plate ... in a good way.

In 2008 after meeting Pat (Pip Skid) and starting Marathon of Dope, our whole view on the industry changed drastically in a good way. Old structures were falling and new were bound to be born.

That aside, next to personal problems, I took too much on my plate and ended up in the hospital with mayor psychological problems in the winter of that same year. The chance to relax and put my thoughts back in line, actually gave me a moment to focus getting organized and checking what it really is that made me happy in making music the years before. The only thing I wanna remember from this period is that music is apparently one of the main factors that decides ups and downs in my life so its an important one to keep in mind.

That being said, I focused more on Marathon of Dope and started producing like a mad man again ... It feels like an honest search to find my own identity in all the different genres we have been playing with in past and present. I couldn't have done this one by myself so in the next few weeks and months I will be presenting the people around the world I worked with to get this one done. Keep your eyes open.
